Simple Ways to Spice Up Your Outfits

Updated: Jun 3

When I was younger I loved to play dress up as some girls do. There times I would go in mom‘s closet and put on her high heels and strut around the house as if I were on the runway. My mom would often watch me as I played dress up.

Over the years my style has evolved. My travels to different places have also inspired the way I dress and accessorize. I have learned that by wearing certain accessories I can enhance my outfits without over packing my luggage with clothing.

Here are a few accessories that can help you add spice to your outfits:

1. A Pair of Sunglasses

If you plan on spending time outdoors having a pair of sunglasses with you is a

must. They can protect your eyes from the sun and instantly elevate your outfit. I prefer wearing sunglasses in a neutral color as it allows me to wear them with more clothing in my wardrobe.

2. Scarf

Wearing a scarf is another way you can add spice to your outfit. During the summer months I enjoy wearing a scarf as a hair accessory as it keeps my hair out of my face. Also, if you have a larger scarf, you can wear it as a shawl to cover your shoulders when it’s cooler.

3. Crossbody Handbag

Having a crossbody handbag is a solid accessory to have in your wardrobe. This style is versatile and can worn for a variety of occasions. I have one in my closet I worn for several years. Wearing this style is great for sightseeing.
