Are you in a style rut and unsure how to get out of it? As we begin to transition our outfits from Summer to Fall we can begin to think of fun and creative ways to elevate our overall style.
Here are three tips to help you revamp your style:
1. Envision the Style You Want
One of the most important things you can do when it comes to regaining a sense of your style is to think about the style you want to have. Are you going for a casual look or a sophisticated one? Taking time out to first think about the style you want to embody will help guide how you go about determining what tweaks you can make to your wardrobe to cultivate your style.
2. Play with Pops of Color
Another way to revamp your style is to add color to your wardrobe. It is not uncommon to gravitate toward wearing neutral colors such as beige, blue, and grey. One of the things you can do to spice things up is to inject pops of color into your wardrobe. For example, let's say you normally wear a black blazer into the office. You can wear this same silhouette for a night out with friends by wearing a red belt over top of it to cinch in your waist.
3. Play with Proportions
Take a moment to look in you wardrobe and see what pieces you already own. You may have items that are more voluminous. Another way to revamp your style is to pair these items with contrasting pieces you have in your wardrobe. For instance, if you have a pair of wide-leg trousers you can with a fitted top to create more harmony and balance in your appearance.
